1 year old
Luna is a 1 year old female white semi coat German Shepherd who is not spayed (last season July 2021), is microchipped and vaccinations are out of date.
At present Luna lives with younger children and is ok with them. She lives with another dog and gets on well with them. Luna CANNOT be rehomed with cats as she is chasing the cats in the home and this is the reason for rehoming her. Owner has had a trainer in to try and work with Luna and the cats but to no avail.
Luna is ok with female visitors but with males she will bark at them for 20 - 30 minutes but not in an aggressive way. She is ok with the owner's partner but with the father in law she will bark at him. She is ok with a female Vet. Luna travels well in the boot of the car and will just watch out the window.
Out on a walk she will pull on the lead, she is currently walked on a harness after chewing her halti. She does have good recall.
She is fully house trained and knows her basic commands.
When the assessor met Luna they met her outside and she did initially bark then had a good sniff and was ok. Assessor was able to walk her and apart from pulling she was very good and even allowed the assessor to stroke her. Afterwards they went into the house and she barked twice but not aggressively and after 5 minutes she was sitting on the sofa next to the assessor giving a paw without asking. She allowed the assessor to roll her over on the floor and was happy to be touched all over. Taking treats she can be a bit snatchy.
New owner needs to be aware of her dislike for cats and strange men.
With some proper training she will make a lovely dog BUT will need to be in a CAT FREE HOME.
Currently in Birmingham.
