Wilson is a 6 year old male black and tan short coat German Shepherd who is not neutered, is microchipped and booster is due July
He is good around young children. Wilson will approach other dogs with a waggy tail but then will react to the other dog resulting
in dogs getting bitten by him when he is off lead. He did live with a Chihuahua for a while and he had food aggression problems around
this dog. Owner had a Maltipoo pup for 2 weeks and there was an incident where he turned his back for a minute and Wilson bit this
pup resulting in pup having to be put to sleep. Wilson is good with cats, chickens and rabbits.
When people come to the house he will
bark at people he doesn't know, he will jump up at people coming into the house. He does love tummy tickles and is very docile. Travelling
in the car he travels in the boot behind dog guard and initially he is anxious but settles.
He is fully house trained and knows his
basic commands. He is currently walked on a Gencon as he will pull on the lead and off lead he does not have good recall. Out in the
garden Wilson has to be watched as he can be a bit of an escape artist.
Wilson does have food aggression problems with other dogs
but is ok with humans and cats. He has been known to swipe food off the table if it is left long enough.
He is a good natured dog
who wants to be the centre of attention.
Wilson needs an experienced owner where he will flourish. With the wrong owner he could be
a dominant dog. Due to his food aggression problems with other dogs he would be better as an only dog.
Currently in Rochdale.
