Shakira is a 6 year old female (born 12/04/13) who is not spayed and has just recently finished her season. She is microchipped and
her next vaccination is due August 2019.
She is good with the grandchildren from babies upwards but due to her being boisterous and
playful she can easily knock the younger children over. When giving Shakira treats she can snatch so owner will need to be aware of
this around young children. Shakira has never lived with another dog and can be a bit choosy about the dogs she likes. At present
she is not getting regular walks so will need work on her socialisation with other dogs. Shakira lives with a cat but she will chase
the cat and pester it.
When visitors come to the house she is very friendly and will give you a face wash, kisses and cuddles. Assessor
says that she did do an excited wee (not nervous) but she does love attention. Shakira is fine left on her own while current owner
is out at work. She travels well in the boot of the car and loves travelling.
At present Shakira is not getting walked and as a result
she was pulling on lead but not to bad and did settle down. She was ok with busy traffic and walked past people with a waggy tail.
Shakira has been to puppy training classes and knows her basic commands. She is housetrained and can open the back door herself to
let herself out. If door is locked she will jump up at the door to let you know she wants out.
Around 15 months ago Shakira was treated
for a skin condition on her tummy with steroids and although her skin is now healed her fur has not grown back.
Shakira is a petite
girl, has tons of energy and would challenge anyone to a lovely walk which she sadly isn't getting at the moment. She has been a much
loved girl but due to her owner's ill health, her needs aren't being met and she is becoming frustrated and needs to burn off her
energy in a new home.
She will fit in pretty much anywhere and if you have tons of cuddles and kisses to give, then she will happily
Shakira is currently in Sheffield.
