Ollie is a 16 month old male black and tan short coat German Shepherd who is neutered, microchipped and only had puppy vaccinations.

He is good with children but as he is young and playful and will try and jump up to kiss you would be better rehomed with older children. Ollie has never lived with another dog and outside the home he needs more socialisation with other dogs. With small dogs he can be too playful for them. He currently lives with cats but there is a stairgate in the home to keep him separated from them as he constantly wants to chase and play with them. This is causing him problems in the home as he constantly hears the cats moving about upstairs and he reacts by barking.

When assessor entered the house Ollie was in his crate and when let out he was initially a bit timid but curious. After a few sniffs he just wanted loads of attention. When owner is at work or out of the house Ollie is crated and he is quite happy in his crate. He is housetrained and knows his basic commands. When drinking water Ollie tends to spill water everywhere.

Ollie travels well in the car. Out on a walk Ollie was really good walking on the lead only crossing over in front of assessor on a couple of occasions trying to sniff something. His recall will need worked on, he will respond to a squeaky toy or a ball more than a treat.

Ollie is a friendly confident and cheerful dog. He is really easy and isn't bothered about much if anything at all. Ollie likes you if you are up for a walk or game of chase.

He will still jump and has nearly stopped mouthing but if gets excited may forget and tries to grab your hand or arm.

Due to owner's working hours Ollie is not getting the attention and exercise that he needs. Could you be the person that gives Ollie the time and attention that he needs?
