Odin is a 5 year old male, black and tan semi coat German Shepherd who is entire, is microchipped and vaccinations are not up to date.
Odin lives with 5 children aged from 5 - 16 but due to him growling at the younger children he would be better rehomed with older
children. There has been an incident when one child tried to cuddle mum and Odin reacted. When assessor visited the property Odin
was shut behind a gate in the kitchen. He was barking when assessor went in and when told to be quiet by owner he was. Odin appeared
to be friendly and approachable wagging his tail and assessor approached and stroked him with no problem. When assessor tried to give
Odin a cuddle he did react. He has never bitten anyone.
He has never lived with another dog but outside the home he has been socialised
with other dogs. He does not like cats.
When someone new comes to the house he will bark but doesn't jump up and does settle. He is
ok to be left on his own and is usually shut in kitchen.
If the children are around he is normally shut in the kitchen until the children
go to bed and then he is allowed in the living room. Odin is fully housetrained and knows his basic commands.
He has only travelled
in the car when he was collected as a puppy so unknown how he would be in car but he has travelled on a train with no issues.
Odin is not getting enough exercise but when he is out in the field he does have good recall.
Odin is a stunning handsome dog and
believe with right owner/family he will be a great addition to the family.
