Narla is a female German Shepherd cross who is 18 months, unsure whether spayed, microchipped or vaccinated.
Narla is very wary of
strangers and will tend to guard her owner. She barked and lunged at assessor when they tried to take her photo with no growl and
no warning but owner was able to quickly distract her with a treat.
Currently she lives with children but they would have to be very
dog savvy. She currently lives with 2 other dogs but unsure how much interaction they have with each other. Presently lives with cats
with no problem.
Assessor did observe Narla playing with her ball and she did look like a puppy happy and carefree.
Narla has a crate
which is always left open and she will pine if she can't get into her crate to sleep. She is fine to be left on her own.
in the car Narla is fine.
Walking is difficult with Narla as she will pull and lunge to any person that she sees. At present she is
walked on a Gencon but she is very anxious when outside. Off lead when she is out her recall is fine if there is absolutely no one
around to distract her.
Any potentional owner must be really experienced with an anxious dog as she does have the potential to bite
or hurt someone.
