This very handsome boy is 6 year old Max, who was rehomed by us over a year ago. However he was recently returned to rescue in a bit
of a mess after the people who adopted him failed to get veterinary treatment for his chronic ear problem. We had to operate on his
ear immediately, and now Max has made a good recovery and is ready for a forever home.
Max is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
We will only rehome Max with children over 6years of age, and not with cats.
Max is fine with other dogs, and was living with a small
terrier for the last year. He would benefit from living with a nice steady bitch.
Max is understandably sensitive if you go to touch
his head, but after suffering badly from ear infections this is not surprising. Otherwise he is fine with people and loves a good
Max is ok being left, is housetrained, and travels ok in the car.
He has been badly let down by humans, so we now need
to find him the best possible home as he deserves the best.
New owners need to keep an eye on his ears- they are good at the moment,
but any sign of head shaking etc, they must get him to the vets asap, although vet trips he does need to be muzzled.
This lovely boy
is currently waiting in kennels in West Hallam, Derbyshire for his happy ever after.
