Our dogs rely entirely on donations, your donations help UK German Shepherd Rescue continue its work in helping the abused, neglected and unwanted German shepherd dogs & puppies in the United Kingdom.

Remember we have no paid staff, not even the boss gets paid or me! Expenses are hardly ever calmed,which are fuel cost only.

all aspects of owning a German Shepherd dog and especially a rescue dog.

Max is a 2 year old male, black and tan short coat German Shepherd who is neutered, microchipped and his vaccination is now due.
would be better rehomed in a home without children. He has bit a teenager which appears to be totally unprovoked and has not happened
before. This looks like an isolated occasion but now when he is out walking he wears a Baskerville muzzle. He has previously lived
with 2 other dogs with no issues. He will chase cats so a cat free home required.
When visitors come to the house Max is a bit wary
and will tend to hide behind his owner until he feels safe to then have a sniff of the visitor. Max travels ok in the boot of the
car but will bark at passing dogs. He is ok to be left in the house on his own. He is fully housetrained. Max does know his basic
Out on a walk Max will stay close to owner and walk to heel as he has nervous tendencies. He is good on the lead but off
lead his recall is ok unless there is any distractions.
At the vets if getting injections he will mouth owner so owner will hold his
head but he is ok in the waiting room.
Max needs a home where he can build up his confidence and a bond with new owner. With his nervous
tendencies he is looking for a nice relaxed home and an experienced owner.
