Bonnie is a 3 year old (born 3/06/16) female, white short coat German Shepherd who is not spayed (season due soon), is microchipped
and her vaccinations are up to date. Bonnie is on the small side but in good condition.
She is good with children from babies upwards.
Currently she lives with an elderly Chihuahua and gets on well with other family dogs (Labrador). Out on a walk if a dog barks at
her she will bark back. She cannot live with cats as she will chase them wanting to play.
Bonnie can open doors and let herself out
and she has been chasing livestock wanting to play with them. She will bark at foxes and squirrels as well. When assessor visited
they did not observe any aggression or prey drive with Bonnie but chasing sheep in the area where she lives is too dangerous as she
could be shot.
When visitors come to the home she is very friendly and will have sniff at them and then go and do her own thing. Left
on her own in the home she is fine and isn't destructive. Travelling in the car she is well travelled but she does dribble a lot,
she sits in the back seat clipped to the seat belt.
As a puppy Bonnie went to training classes and does know her basic commands and
walks nicely on the lead. She is very ball orientated and will spring to life when a tennis ball is thrown although she does not return
it on command.
At present Bonnie has a skin infection on her left hind leg and this has been assessed by a vet and she was given an
antibiotic injection on 19/6/19 and a course of tablets. She is fine and this is not bothering her much. Bonnie is nice and calm at
Bonnie also cannot be fed Dentastix as they tend to upset her tummy.
Bonnie needs a home where there are no livestock around
and with someone who will spend time giving her more training.
