AKIRA is a 5 year old (DOB 06/11/15) female black and tan semi coat German Shepherd who is spayed, microchipped and vaccinations are
currently out of date.
She is good with children of any age. At present she lives with another German Shepherd Ariya who is also being
rehomed. She has stayed with family dogs with no problems but outside the home she can be a bit bossy and choosy with other dogs.
Unknown how Akira is with cats but she must be kept on lead around livestock.
When people come to the home she will bark at visitors
and is kept on lead as she can be reactive until she knows you. Current owner feels that Akira is protective of her and she is bettern
when she is not around. Akira was aloof and vocal behind stairgate when assessor was in the home but when a visitor who Akira knew
arrived she was friendly with her. Akira does appear to be better with females.
She is ok to be left on her own and travels ok in
the boot of the car. She is fully housetrained and knows her basic commands.
Out on a walk she does pull on the lead and is walked
with a harness and collar. She is kept on the lead unless in secure area and nobody around and her recall is ok without distraction.
At the vets she is not good and the vet carries out consultations at the car. She is allergic to fleas, grass, wheat, rice and pasta
and takes Apoquel which works fine for her.
Akira does not like loud noises.
ARIYA is a 2 year old (08/08/2018) female black and tan
short coat German Shepherd who is not spayed (last season January 2020), is microchipped and vaccinations are due October 2020.

She is fully housetrained and knows her basic commands.
Ariya is good walking on lead and has good recall although she
doesn't go too far from owner. She is fine at the vets and is fine with loud noises.
Ariya is picking up on some of Akira's bad habits.
Ariya would settle into any home but Akira will take a little longer to settle. Akira would benefit from being left alone and allowed
to bond before pushing her to do too much.
Owner did feel that if she hadn't been present for the assessment and her friend had been
there instead that Akira would have come for more fussing.
