I'm a 10 month old ?, male German Shepherd.
This stunning boy is Spud, who is around 10 months old and was found as a stray before coming into our care.
Spud is vaccinated and
microchipped now, but not yet neutered.
Spud was quite stressed when he first came into rescue and would kennel guard, but he has
relaxed now and is now ready for the next step on his journey.
Here is what the kennels tell us about Spud;
Spud. Well where do I
start, this boy is so clever. He is waiting for the next command and treat to follow. Spud has been fine with dogs he has met, he
can be reactive on his lead in excitement and does need to learn some manners when saying hello. He was gentle with a puppy he met.
I donít think spud has seen much of the world and doesnít even understand about walking on a lead. He loves off lead run on the field,
his favourite thing ever is squeaky toys and he will play all day long. Spud does tug on the lead, this is being worked on. He will
walk on a halti, he does get a little agitated with it to start but is getting used to it very quickly. He is also very food oriented,
his favourite foods are cocktail sausages & squeezy cheese. He doesnt like cats so will need a cat free home. He has been fine
with all people he meets, he isnít a cuddly boy until he really knows you. He will have a sniff but do his own thing. Once he gets
to know you properly he loves a back rub. He hasnít shown any guarding issues. He doesnít like being left but is getting much better
after learning his kennel isnít a bad place and he will get to go out again very soon. He likes to watch the world go by and likes
to know where you are.
Spud is in kennels in West Hallam, Derbyshire.
