I'm a 2 year old, female German Shepherd.
This lovely little lady is Sasha who needs a new home because of a change in family circumstances.
Sasha is 2 years of age: not spayed:
had puppy vaccinations only: microchipped.
Sasha is initially wary of strangers, particularly men and will give a rather nervous bark.
Allow her to come in her own time and offer a treat and she is soon friendly. Men are not a real problem to Sasha: left to her own
devices she soon becomes inquisitive. Sasha has never been around children and could only go to a family with older, dog savvy children:
children who could be fully trusted to give Sasha the space to come in her own time.
Sasha has not lived with another dog and never
been socialised with other dogs. She will bark at them and pull towards them when she meets. Quite disturbed when passing gardens
with little yappy dogs.
Currently lives in a home with cats, but is kept apart. Wouldn't risk rehoming with cats.
Sasha is housetrained:
may have the odd accident if left very long hours, but barks first thing in the morning to get out and would almost certainly do so
at any time during the day.
Happy to be in a car and currently travels in boot area.
Sasha was taken from her Mum at 5 weeks of age
and has had no real training during her two years. She is strong on lead at the start of a walk, but much of this is down to the excitement
of such a rare event. She does settle, but as she sees people come towards her she goes on the alert. Understands the basics of sitting
or even going down for a treat. Sasha needs training on lead and basic commands. Will also have to develop recall. In the early days
probably best done by an experienced owner one to one until Sasha can be gradually socialised and more confident in the world.
has a lovely, friendly, playful nature when she gets to know you. She needs help to make up for a lot of lost time and learn how to
enjoy being a dog. Needs life in a family where she can become a real part of the family. Overall Sasha may seem to need a lot, but
it all boils down to love, patience and consistency. Sasha has a lot of love to give.
Currently in Cleveland.
