I'm a 7 year old.female German Shepherd.
This lovely girl is 7 year old Pickles, who has a sad story to tell.
Pickles has been in the same home since she was a small puppy,
and for the last 5 years also with a male gsd. She has had puppies with this male, and last year had a litter of 4, and they all died.
At the same time a terrier bitch puppy was introduced to the home, and Pickles was good with her, mothering her.
However once all
of Pickles puppies died, she began to dislike the terrier bitch & has now had a few altercations with said terrier, resulting
in Pickles being kept separate from everybody in the family now, including dogs, and visiting grandchildren, that she has always been
ok with. So Pickles is now looking for a new home- as her life is now pretty much isolated & miserable.
She is not spayed, not
vaccinated but has been microchipped.
She has chased and caught birds before, so a small furry and cat free home please.
Pickles is friendly, and does sometimes jump up for attention.
She is carrying quite a few extra kilos, so needs to lose some weight
asap- with regular walks and a reduced diet, she will lose that extra weight easily. She is hardly walked at the moment.
walked Pickles & she did not pull on the lead. She did bark and lunge at a dog she passed, but once corrected she ignored all
other dogs on the same walk. She simply needs somebody to invest some time and love into her.
Pickles loves being groomed, she doesnt
chew or mess when left, and sleeps on the kitchen floor or in the 'outhouse'.
She does get travel sick on journeys longer than 10
mins or so. Pickles is housetrained.
Please can somebody find it in their hearts to mend Pickles' broken heart?
