This lovely young lady is Mystique. A Belgian Mallinios X GSD. She needs a new home because of a change in family circumstances.

Mystique is 3 years of age: spayed: last booster 2016: microchipped.

Mystique is a bit wary of strangers coming into the home, but left to come in her own time soon becomes inquisitive. If anything takes more easily to a woman, but it really isn't a major issue. Lives with two teenage children: she is a boisterous girl and would certainly be risk to younger children.

Mystique lives with a GSD and largely ignores dogs when out. Some months back Mystique was well socialised and went on pack walks. More recently this has slipped to the point that she has not had continuing socialisation. Full of pent up energy given the chance she would just run and run. There is no doubt that Mystique could live with another dog, but it would need to be a confident one that could put her in her place. She is greedy and bossy and would push a submissive dog out of the way to get food, toys and even affection. There is no malice in any of this: just lack of manners and direction.

Currently lives with cats. She will chase and has been known to pin a cat down. Never shown any real aggression, but put yourself in the cat's place and you might prefer not to have Mystique as a housemate.

Behaviourally Mystique has no nasty issues. She just totally lacks any training, boundaries or direction. She will be a challenge to all but those with experience of the Mallinios breed. She really needs good quality exercise: a long walk is not enough. Access to secure space where she can run off excess energy would be desirable. Training is absolutely essential: she needs the mental stimulation of training as well as other activities. She needs boundaries and firm direction. Strong on lead, but manageable. Recall not tested, but a new owner would need to assume a low base.

Sadly at 3 years of age not fully housetrained: She knows that she needs to go and will bark, but just hasn't had sufficient attention to ensure that she has done what she needs to do where she is supposed to do it.

Likes being in a car and travels restrained in rear seat.

Much of this seems negative but we have to tell it as it is. There can be no doubt that Mystique will be a challenge, but she is a loveable and loving girl. Give this girl the exercise she needs and stimulate the brain cells and you're well on the way to winning the challenge.
