I'm a 6 year old, male German Shepherd.
This handsome guy is Max who needs a new home as he is being left long hours and not being exercised as his owner is working long
Max is 6 years old: neutered: not up to date with vaccinations: microchipped
Max is friendly with people. He did meet our assessor
calmly: just had a good sniff around and took treats gently. He can sometimes jump up, but in a friendly way, but if this behaviour
becomes apparent it needs to be corrected. He is fine with children over 10 years of age.
Max is good with dogs he knows, but wary
and a little reactive to dogs that he does not know.
Not known with cats
Max has not had formal training, but responds to a number
of commands: sit; down; leave; play dead and say please. He can pull a little on lead. Never off lead so we have to assume that he
has no recall.
Max is housetrained. When left it is known that he will be whine for a few minutes before settling.
Generally OK travelling:
gets a bit restless when car stops at lights etc and when he sees a dog.
Max just needs a family who can give him time, proper exercise
and bring out his personality and intelligence through further training. No question this guy will make a loving family pet.
