I'm a 2 year old male German Shepherd Cross
This handsome boy is 2yr old Max, who finds himself in rescue after his owner couldnt give him what he needs.
We did rehome Max, but
he had a fight with the resident bitch, and neither would back down. So Max now needs an experienced home.
Max is neutered, vaccinated
Max has lived with small children, but due to his mouthing, and boisterousness we will only place with children
over 7 yrs .
Not known how he is with cats, but wouldnt risk it as he is very keen on chasing squirrels, rabbits etc etc!
lived with a female malamute and they got along great. He would love another dog to play with and burn off some excess energy as he
has never had the oppportunity to do this, so holds alot of pent up energy.
This would need to be managed carefully as he can get
rough in play.
Max is quite bouncy with other dogs, and loved playing with a Rottweiler at the park when our assessor walked him.
Max is barky with visitors to the home, and can look quite initimidating, but he hides if you approach him before he has sussed you
out. Once he realises you are ok , he is your best friend, and will bounce on your head if you let him!
Max does mouth- alot, and
has never been corrected. After being with our assessor for a few hours, he soon stopped when commanded to.
Max does need lead training,
as he pulls and is all over the place. He is however a bright boy, who would love to learn once his excess energy is burnt off. Recall
no n existent, and Max responds to commands when there is food involved or if the mood takes him!
Max is confident out on walks, and
happy to meet strangers, although he may jump up them to say hello.
He sleeps besides or in his owners bed, is ok to be left, and
travelled ok on the short journeys he has been in the car.
This gorgeous huge hunk desperately needs a calm, strong, firm owner who
will channel his energy in the right direction. A bright dog who needs a brighter owner!
