Ernie is a five-year old entire bi colour who is microchipped but not up to date with vaccinations and worming. He has diabetes insipidus which he was born with and this is easily managed with vet advice and medication.

Ernie was bred by the West Midlands police but could not proceed due to his condition. He has been with his current owner since he was 11 weeks old. This is a very sad but necessary re-home as his owner can no longer meet his needs.

Ernie is currently left without any issues for up to four hours a day, Ernie greets you with a woof and a very waggy tail. He is a lovely, handsome boy with a very friendly disposition and happily takes treats and accepts you into his home. He is equally as friendly with adults outside the home and is happy to say hello. A home where Ernie is the only dog and can live with an adult family would be perfect. He gets very worried by children and if they are near him he doesnít seem able to cope with little people around him without getting very stressed. Ernie knows basic commands of sit, down, stay and has good recall. Off lead he isnít really bothered about other dogs and will recall promptly but he can get a bit over excited when he sees other dogs and is still on lead. This frustrated greeting is easily worked on as is his strength on the lead at times.

This boy is just a sweetheart and with a bit of time and patience he will make a wonderful companion for someone.
