I'm a 7 year old, male German Shepherd Cross.
This handsome little man is Benny, a 7 year old gsd cross from Romania.
He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, holding a full
Benny has the sweetest nature and needs a nice quiet calm home to bring out the best in him.
Here is what foster mum
tells us about Benny Button;-
Benny Button is the dearest mini Shepherd you will ever meet. He is very clean in the home and has never
chewed. He greets people he knows with a wagging tail and the hope of getting a treat. He loves the grandchildren when they visit.
He loves to sunbathe at every opportunity even in winter he will find a sun spot. But his favourite place is, His sofa he had claimed,
once he had had his tea it's bed time.
He dances, for his food and you have to scratch his chest before he eats it, he's so funny
with his quirky little ways.
Benny takes time to feel comfortable with dogs he doesn't know, he is very frightened of them, he will
show his teeth and growl but will back away and hide. He is very comfortable with the dogs he is currently in foster with but it did
take him quite a few weeks to settle. We know that Benny has had a traumatic life but to what extent we will never know, he sadly
still screams if something frightens him but thankfully he recovers in seconds now rather than hours.
Poor Benny cannot be walked
on a leash, it's too traumatic for him, he will scream and panic and wet himself, which means Benny doesn't get to explore the outside
world. He doesn't want to run away know and will happily explore and occasionally burst in a mad run in large secure area. He enjoys
playing with his small foster sibling but he doesn't usually instigate play.
Benny loves to be brushed and will keep pushing your
hand to continue, you can touch every part of him but Benny can't cope with arms around him. He will happily sit and have a good old
scratch of his belly and chest. Benny has never shown any aggression even when he's been petrified. It really does break your heart
to think about what he has gone through. Having said that Benny is a happy soul, plodding around in his own little world, he is a
creature of habit and will take time to adjust to new surroundings. Someone who will allow Benny to go at his own pace and not push
Our Benny Button deserves so much more than I can currently give him, I would love to think that Benny could be the King of the
Castle roaming around a big garden finding the place the sun shines.
I don't think he particularly needs another dog, I'm sure he'd
be very happy as an only dog but he's does like little dogs as they pose no threat to him.
Benny will give you his soul, the
look in his eyes tells you how grateful he is and you just want melt.
Benny is in foster in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.
